Protestant Religious Services at New Horizons at Marlborough

At New Horizons at Marlborough, faith and fellowship are important parts of community life. Our Protestant religious service is a Christian worship gathering celebrating the Bible and Jesus Christ. Residents, families, and friends are warmly invited to join us for bi-weekly Protestant Holy Communion and holiday observances in our beautiful on-campus chapel.
Welcoming Worship in Our On-campus Chapel
Protestant worship at New Horizons operates on the principle that all are welcome at God’s Table. Our ecumenical service brings together all Protestant Denominations (Episcopal, Methodist, Lutheran, Congregationalist, Baptist, Reformed/Presbyterian), and welcomes participation from those outside the faith.
Held every other Thursday, New Horizons’ Protestant service offers residents and their loved ones an inclusive setting for reflection, worship, and connection with neighbors.
Led by Caring Local Pastors
Our Protestant services are celebrated by two wonderful local clergy:
- Rev. Kazimierz Bem (Pastor Kaz) of First Church Marlborough (Congregational)
- Rev. Suzanne Wade of Trinity Church Bridgewater (Episcopal)
These service leaders act as beacons of support and assistance for both those who attend services and the broader New Horizons community. They bring compassion, joy, and spiritual encouragement to every service, their messages of hope and comfort inspiring residents to nurture their faith right here at home in Marlborough.
Protestant Service and Liturgical Calendar
Protestant worship at New Horizons follows an annual calendar that celebrates the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Readings are drawn from the Revised Common Lectionary, an ecumenical schedule of readings used by both Catholic and Protestant churches.
Every other Thursday afternoon, residents and friends gather in New Horizons’ chapel to worship as a community through prayer, song, scripture readings, and a brief sermon. All who attend services are invited to participate in the sacrament of Holy Communion.
The worship leaders also guide holiday observances for Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, and Pentecost.
Faith, Fellowship, and Community
Spiritual wellness is an important part of life at New Horizons, and our chapel provides a peaceful, welcoming space for worship and quiet reflection. In addition to our Protestant services, residents enjoy a variety of interfaith and nondenominational programs that celebrate community, kindness, and shared values.
Our retirement campus—conveniently located near Framingham, Hudson, and Sudbury—offers residents the chance to grow spiritually while enjoying the friendships and activities that make New Horizons such a special place to live.
