New Horizons at Marlborough Retirement Living

Horn Pond

Opened in September 1994, New Horizons at Marlborough, LLC is a wholly owned not-for-profit independent living and assisted living retirement community operated by Cummings Foundation, Inc. For more information on the foundation, visit www.CummingsFoundation.org.

Our community is located on 40 acres of rolling meadows and woodlands, surrounded by deeded conservation land. Abundant animal life, including wild turkeys, foxes, and deer, frequent the property. We are also a fully state-certified assisted living/continuing care retirement community (CCRC) for people 62 years and over who do not require the type of extensive nursing services typically associated with nursing homes.

About Our Private Suites

We are pleased to announce that The Meadows at 370 and 420 Hemenway Street—have earned EPA’s Energy Star rating for overall energy efficiency.

Every suite on our campus is fully private, and each unit has an oversized bathroom, large kitchen or mini-kitchenette, and plenty of large windows.  Suites within the main New Horizons building come equipped with emergency call systems, a telephone, cable, and Internet capability. Additionally, we offer an on-site office for visiting physicians and, upon request, an on-site home health agency will provide personal care services.

Staying Connected With Friends and Family

Choate signAt New Horizons, we believe strongly in the importance of staying connected. Through daily activities, open visiting hours, and regular community events, we create frequent opportunities for residents to engage with each other as well as family members, friends, and even acquaintances from long ago.

In 2023, New Horizons hosted a reunion for Tufts University’s Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. Resident Bob Burke reconnected with his visiting Iota Tetarton chapter brothers and their spouses for a festive day of food and entertainment.
