College Alumni Clubs at New Horizons

New Horizons is a haven for MetroWest seniors from all manner of educational, professional, and personal backgrounds. To honor our community’s diverse life experience, we provide an ever-growing assortment of activities and events to help our residents connect and engage with friends both old and new.

Current and “Coming Soon” Alumni Clubs

  • Boston College
  • Boston University
  • Northeastern University
  • Tufts University
  • UMass Amherst

Who Can Attend?

Residents of both New Horizons and the broader greater Boston community are invited to attend club events. Although geared toward seniors, graduates and family members of all ages are most welcome to participate in these college affinity groups. The clubs are casual in nature, with no fees or formal joining process beyond requesting to be added to the email list for your alma mater.

To be notified of future gatherings, or if you are a resident who wishes to help spearhead a new club, call 508-460-5200 and ask for our community services director.

In 2023, we created the first of many college affinity groups at our retirement community. Residents welcomed a host of Tufts graduates at the inaugural gathering of the Tufts University Alumni Club at New Horizons, a lively reception held in December.

Horn Pond

Formal gatherings of the various alumni clubs at New Horizons are held two to four times per year, but members socialize casually throughout the year most anywhere on the community’s 40-acre wooded campus.
