Massachusetts Retirement Community
|
|||
| Country Living (New Horizons) Retirement Community is one of New England's finest and most respected independent and assisted living communities. Come and visit this wonderful friendly place, where more than 400 seniors now enjoy each other, and enjoy life. And while you are there talk with some of the residents themselves and ask them their opinions about New Horizons. Some will want to give you a very long answer. | |||
There are very few things more important to the full enjoyment of our retirement years than good health, companionship, and comfort in the place we choose to live. Better retirement communities such as this offer a country inn-like atmosphere at a cost that is almost always less than the over all cost of living alone in a home. Every day, the choices we make determine the quality of our lives. As we grow older, it is often desirable to alter our housing arrangements while adapting to our changing circumstances. Locating a community that provides a caring, convenient environment, and meets our personal needs, becomes more important with each passing year. |

Independent and Assisted Living - Boston, MA and MetrowestNew Horizons MA Retirement Community is proud to offer a very attractive living arrangement for active individuals or couples who simply don't want to live alone anymore, or who want the convenience of knowing that help is nearby if needed. Similarly, other parts of this fine community are ideal for those who need some level of assistance with their daily responsibilities. |
|||
Home-cooked meals perhaps do the most for our fine reputation, because the exquisite dining rooms just always seem to become the center of everyone's attention - at least three times every day. Meal quality, variety, nutrition and overall appeal become extraordinarily important as we enjoy our later years. There is abundant free parking for those residents who drive, and a very efficient private bus which many residents use for their local-area shopping trips, etc., even if they still drive. Of course, many services may also be brought "to the door" for those residents who wish. For those who live in the very independent "Meadows" apartments, Dominos and Papa Ginos pizza deliveries come into our neighborhood, just like they visit every other neighborhood in town. |

| All suites are fully private, with very nice oversized bathrooms, large kitchens or mini-kitchenettes, and lots of large windows. Care Solutions provides assisted living services, on request, for as few as 15 minutes per day for residents in the assisted living and independent sections of New Horizons. Care Solutions also provides 24-hour on-site licensed nurse coverage, including emergency services for residents in both New Horizons and the 154 fully independent Meadows units. | |||
All
units in the main New Horizons building are serviced with emergency call
systems, as well as full telephone, cable, and Internet capability. There
is an office on-site for visiting physicians, and New Horizons enjoys a
"preferred provider" arrangement with Marlborough Hospital / U. Mass Medical
Center. The two newest buildings on our campus earned EPA's Energy Star

This marvelous continuing care retirement community, which opened in September 1994, was developed by the highly successful Cummings Properties organization of Woburn, Massachusetts, and is a long-term member of Massachusetts Assisted Living Facilities Association. Our community is located on 40 acres of rolling meadows and woodlands, surrounded by deeded conservation land. Abundant animal life, including wild turkeys, foxes and deer frequent the property. We are also a fully state certified assisted living/continuing care retirement community (CCRC) for people 62 years and over who do not require the type of extensive nursing services typically associated with nursing homes. Furthermore, Country Living in Marlborough is a rental community with no sort of endowment requirement, and no commitment beyond 60 days. There is, however, a 100-percent-refundable $30,000 entrance deposit.
For those aged 65 and beyond who are fully independent in all respects, consider "The Meadows." This fine 154-unit supplement to the continuum of care at New Horizons offers units from 1,000 to more than 2,000 square feet in two new buildings, and three smaller buildings, directly adjacent to New Horizons.
